I feel a bit bamboozled being quoted for $80-180 (ish) for parts and labor, asked “for parts and labor?”, and was told yes. Then I was then charged almost $400. That’s not cool. This is for a residential broken spring repair.

The technician was courteous and helpful, he explained the problem with the door and gave me some options to fix it. He was very good and finished the job within the time period he had given me. Very professional and knowledgeable.

My garage door slammed down when I shut it and the cables on each side had a lot of slack in them. I called Precision Garage Doors of Waco and scheduled a service call for August 1, 2023. James came out and said I had a Wayne Dalton system that NO ONE in the area worked on. I could order the part needed from California, for around $500.00, and try to find someone to install it. He said he could overhaul it for around $1,200.00. Feeling like this was my ONLY option, I said go ahead and overhaul it. That turned out to be $1,275.04. While I was waiting for him to return to fix the door again, so it would go down and stay down, I googled Wayne Dalton doors. Imagine my surprise to find out Palousek Overhead Doors, right here in Temple, services these doors. I called and the nice lady told me they could have repaired my door for around $350.00, which included parts and labor. I could have saved around $900.00. So, James I hope you sleep well at night knowing you took advantage of an elderly woman on a fixed income.
