We had an exceptional experience with Precision Garage Door, and John Gallerano was a huge reason why. From the very first phone call, we felt confident. The receptionist was professional, organized, and truly on point. That first impression mattered and set the tone that we were dealing with a company that takes customer service seriously. John came out for the initial visit to inspect our system and walk us through what was going on. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything clearly without rushing us. He even gave us tips about our garage system and security that we hadn’t thought about. There was zero pressure, just honest and straightforward information. In our case, we ended up replacing essentially everything except the actual garage door itself. The opener system, components, and hardware were all updated. John made sure we understood exactly what was being replaced and why, and we felt confident in every decision. What really stood out was the consistency. John handled the first inspection visit and then returned himself for the repair and installation. There was no handoff, no confusion, and no having to re-explain our situation. He already knew our system and our concerns. That continuity built a lot of trust. He was personable, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. On 8/14/25, I woke up to find my double garage door wouldn’t open and both vehicles my wife and I use for transportation were blocked in. Shortly after 9:00 a.m., I called the garage door company who had installed the three garage doors 13 years ago when our house was under construction. This company had been our ‘go to’ for all maintenance and/or repairs on the garage doors since then. After conveying my service need, I requested a same day appointment. The lady who had answered the phone replied the earliest they could schedule me would be the next day “between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.” I repeated both my vehicles were blocked in and asked if we at least could be the first appointment the next day. She placed me on hold and when she came back on the line, she said the best she could do would be to schedule a technician between 8:00 a.m. and noon the next day. I was frustrated but accepted that appointment. After hanging up, I did an internet search for the best garage door repair companies serving Central Texas. After reading the reviews for Precision Garage Door of Waco, I called them. I believe Ashley was the one who answered the call. I explained the garage door wouldn’t open and both of my vehicles were locked in. She was very empathetic and said “You need someone out today! I have a technician who can be there between Noon and 2:00 p.m. His name is Paul Lightell, and he will call you when he is enroute.” She then requested my physical address, phone number and email address so she could add me and my wife to their customer list. A few minutes after the call ended, I received an email confirmation of the appointment. Included in the body of the message was a brief overview of Paul Lightell’s background and work experience. That information at once confirmed Precision Garage Door Service (PDS) was a professional and service-based firm. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from Paul saying he would arrive by 12:30 p.m. Paul arrived on time, introduced himself and gave me his business card. He got right to work and determined a large spring coil had broken. Paul did a thorough inspection of all the components of the garage door operating system and then gave me a detailed explanation of the repairs along with the cost of materials needed to restore the garage door to best condition. I gave Paul the go ahead to continue and he completed all the repairs in a very prompt manner. When done, he asked me to open and close the garage door several times to ensure the door was working to my satisfaction. I at once noticed the door opened and closed much more quietly than it had since it had been originally installed. After making payment by credit card, within minutes, I received an email from Ashley with an attached PDF of the invoice and payment receipt. Based on my interactions with Ashley and Paul, it’s clear why PDS had the reviews I found in my internet search. I would not hesitate to recommend Precision Garage Door Service to my family and friends!

Hitting your garage door with your golf cart, even at a crawl, disabled our garage door. Living in a small community like Salado I felt lucky because we have a local garage door repairman. Unfortunately being close to Christmas they must have had other plans because after taking my call, they dropped me like a hot potato. I did a quick search 2 days later and found Precision. While I was reading about them, I saw a "Schedule an Appointment" button to click and they had an appointment available THAT DAY. I clicked it and soon received a call from the office confirming and about 30 minutes later, John Gallerano called and said he had a cancellation and could come EVEN EARLIER. Score! I told John what had happened and once he started, it was about 20 minutes later and voila, garage door fixed. John was kind, personable, understanding and a good listener. I would not hesitate at all in referring you to them.
